Dear Friend and Partner of the MMM family,
As we reflect on the things that have been going on, we can only think of Romans 8:28 that says “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” And also Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
We are standing firm and moving forward, holding fast to every word God has spoken to us and our teams over 39 years, through more than 3,500 devotionals. Every word we have heard in His Scripture, believed, and prayed back to Him will fulfill His divine purpose—even in times of crisis. In Matthew 6:25-34, God is telling us not to be anxious about our life. Verses 33-34 say “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
God is faithful and will sustain us to the end; therefore, we express our gratitude and joy for His faithfulness. He has sustained and expanded this ministry as we serve on the front lines guided by four core commitments: loving everyone who comes to serve with us or to be served in our clinics, serving them with joy, sharing the Gospel of Grace, and discipling both those who serve and those who are served.
We appreciate and love you dearly, praying for you in the Spirit with the words of Philippians 1:3–6:
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate what God will do as we are visiting several of you this fall and the gathering we will have in January in our Pastor’s Conference, where we will encourage both our teams and churches to hold fast to the hope of our calling. Faith is always forward-looking. As we enter this next season, we are not resting on past achievements, but pressing on toward what lies ahead.
Thank You for Standing With Us. Leadership is not about carrying the burden alone; it is about allowing Christ to build his body, where every member functions according to its God-given design. Thank you for your continued trust, steadfast love, prayers, active service, and sacrificial giving. We invite you to keep praying for our team as we seek wisdom, grace, and boldness in the days ahead. May God richly bless you for your faithfulness.

Dear Friends and Supporters,
“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.” This year has been a challenging but prosperous year for the Kingdom. As I reflect on 2026 and think of all the challenges but also all the blessings, God continues to move Medical Missions Ministries to new places and new churches partnering with us to connect the people to the heart of God. I am so grateful for our supporters, churches, team leaders, and our staff that make this ministry operate in God’s work being done through the medical clinics each year. My prayer for everyone involved is that they hear the voice of God and obey His instructions. The verse above in Numbers 6:24 has and will continue to be a blessing to remember where His light comes from and how it shines through us in this dark world. May we continue to serve and press towards His calling on our lives. Our con- tinued prayer is to reach not just the Guatemalan people with the gospel but to partner with the U.S. teams to send out others around the world in God’s calling on their lives.
This year I was able to join a Fellowship Bible church team and had the privilege of joining 19 team members from the U.S. to experience a “Date with Jesus.” God was present, and we experienced eight people on our team being baptized in a small church in Antigua on the last day there, while we were serving, teaching and being ambassadors for Christ. I am reminded of how important these trips are for our teams serving in medical clinics in the churches that we have developed relationships with over the years. I realized God continues to give us the desires of our heart. What a blessing it was to see God working through our U.S. team to grow and strengthen us in our faith. As we worked in the clinics and served the people, the staff, and each other, I was reminded of Acts 2:42-47 NIV, “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All of the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had a need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the LORD added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
Our vision remains to mobilize the Church to influence communities to expe- rience the transformative love of Christ. We are planning and booking summer teams right now for 2027 and trusting God to continue raising up both Guate- malan and American leaders to move God’s plan forward in the ministry. We are blessed to have so many of you praying and financially partnering with us. Please join us and consider leading a team, participating in our Pastor’s confe- rence, or mobilizing others to experience God’s glory in Guatemala.
In closing, we continue to pray over you and encourage you to join us in prayer, financial support, and in taking time away to join us on a “Date with Jesus.” We’re humbled to serve alongside you in bringing healing, hope, and the Gospel to people who God brings to us each day. I am often reminded of this passage and hope that sharing it with you encourages you to step into what God is doing through you for the Kingdom.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:3-5 NIV

Full Circle
My (Elena’s) parents went on a mission trip to Guatemala when MMM was just beginning, and they quickly fell in love with this country. Eventually, they decided to pursue adopting a child from there. When I was just five months old, my parents adopted me and brought me back with them to Georgia. As I grew up, I always knew that I had been given a special gift in life, but I wasn’t completely sure what it all meant. Over the years, I watched my parents lead many teams to Guatemala. When I was twelve years old, I was finally old enough to return. I couldn’t wait. During the trip, I was able to see just how blessed I am to have been adopted and was able to witness God’s love for the Guatemalan people. In addition, I could see what a blessing MMM was to so many of them. My home country always held a special place in my heart, and I was grateful to be able to continue to go on many of these trips as I got older.
I am now twenty-eight years old, and this past January I got married to my husband, Ryan. This year we decided, along with my family, to go back to Guatemala. I was very excited to show Ryan where I was from. This was his first mission trip, and we knew He had big things planned. It meant so much to show him the beauty of the country and to witness what God had prepared. One day, as we were riding in the car with Hermann, he explained to us that we were going to an area of Chimaltenango, which was very special to me because it is where my birth mother was from. It truly was a full circle moment in my life to show my American husband a village that I could have been living in if I had not been adopted. This trip was foundational for both of us as we desire to pursue Christ and live out His calling in our lives together.
Since this was my (Ryan’s) first trip to Guatemala, I had no idea what to expect. I knew the basics of this type of trip, but outside of those things, there was so much that I could not have foreseen.
As each day unfolded, I genuinely felt that, wherever we went, there were events orchestrated by God to help us carry out His will. Hermann’s morning devotio- nals often provided a message from Scripture or a real-life application that was directly relevant to a con- versation that came up later in the counseling stations. In many ways, everything fell together perfectly to reach as many people as we could for God. Even still, we also were able to see the resistance that we faced from the enemy, who definitely tried to get in our way at times.
Especially for me, this trip was eye-opening, in that it helped me to develop the skills I didn’t know I had for gospel conversations. I am now much more ready for those opportunities back in the States. Before, I often felt like others around me were “more Christian” than I was, so it was better to leave the “mission” work of evangelism to those who really knew how to do it. My experience in Guatemala taught me that each of us have had unique experiences, and our different ways of delivering the message to the hearer might be just as effective as anyone else’s. God built my confidence up to a point that I now feel comfortable having those conversations on my own, when I never could’ve said that before.
Even more, I was able to gain a brand-new perspective on Elena’s life and how it might have been so different. Not only was I given a valuable gift through my own personal development, but I also received a greater appreciation for my wife’s home country, her people, and her relationship with God. I believe this was a pivotal week for our young marriage, as it allowed us to grow closer together and it helped us to see how we can work together for the gospel back home, too.
We are extremely blessed by what MMM has done for both of us and continue to do in the lives of so many others. We are grateful for the way they continually submit to God’s calling for the ministry. It was beautiful to witness each member of the team stepping into God’s will in their lives. Thank you, MMM, for being such a powerful part of our story.

My miracle through Medical Missions
I am Pastor Willian Garcia, and we have worked with Medical Missions Minis- tries here in Guatemala for several years. During this time, we have seen many miracles and this one of them.
A lady that lived beside the church had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. This led her to get depressed and suffer from anxiety. She just didn’t care about anything.
We, as the church, had been praying for her and believing that God could do a miracle. But her mood was very low, and she was losing faith every day.
When Dietrich and I agreed on the date for the clinic, we invited her to come. Even though she confirmed that she would, on the day of the clinic she did not arrive. My wife went to get her, and she said that she was not in the mood to go since she already had a confirmed diagnosis.
She did finally come and after she saw the doctor, she went to the prayer station. There they prayed for her. There was a young woman, who was a part of an MMM team, who invited her to believe God for a miracle. “Nothing is impossible for God,” she told her. God did the miracle right there! I remember that she left the church with the bag of medicine, but she was crying. Her face was different, not like when she arrived. She said goodbye and went home alone.
The following week she told my wife that she had a doctor’s appoint- ment, but she didn’t want to go for fear of what they would tell her. My wife prayed with her and the next day she went to the doctor.
That night, she came over to our house happy and told us that the doc- tors could not understand what happened! They were not able to find anything in her head. Crying she said that the doctor had the previous medical reports where the tumor was and now the new results showed nothing. He was not satisfied with the results and had her get tested multiple times, but there was nothing he could find. He even consulted with other doctors, and they confirmed she is fine there is no need to operate or do anything else.
The tumor disappeared, and our sister was completely healed! All the honor and glory to Jesus Christ!
GOD IS GOOD AND WONDERFUL!
God’s miracles are still in effect today. Just believe and you will see the glory of God. I thank God and MMM because we have seen the love and power of God.

Gratitude , Stewardship, and Forward momentum….
As we approach the end of the year, we want to personally thank you for your faithful partnership with Medical Missions Ministries. This has been an unusual and challenging year for our ministry. As many of you know, our Board discovered serious financial misconduct by a former officer. We have addressed the matter directly, strengthened our finan- cial controls and oversight, and are actively pursuing recovery of those funds.
But that is not the story we want to leave you with.
The story of Medical Missions Ministries continues to be the lives being touched throughout Guatemala and the world—patients receiving medical and dental care, families and students learning to share their faith and connecting with the heart of Jesus in very practical ways.
The ministry has continued because of God’s faithfulness and because people like you have faithfully stood with us.
As you consider your year-end giving, we hope you will consider a spe- cial gift to Medical Missions Ministries this year. Your gift will help us finish the year strong and enter the coming year prepared to continue serving the people and communities God has placed before us.

A Year of Gratitude and Impact
As we reflect on this past year, I can say it has been definitely different with its ups and downs. But through it all, God has been teaching us that He is with us. He has used Isaiah 43:2 “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you,” to remind me that He will be there to guide us and protect us. Our hearts are filled with gratitude not only for what God has done, but for the faithful supporters who made it possible. Together 23 teams from churches, 311 American volunteers, and our Guatemalan team traveled to 96 different communities, including six church plants, bringing care, compassion, and the hope of Christ.
Throughout the year, our teams served approximately 5,500 patients, including 1,300 children, 3,200 adults, and 1,000 dental patients. Most importantly, we rejoice that approximately 160 people prayed to become Christians.
As we look ahead to the coming year, we are excited about what God has in store and look forward to welcoming the teams who will join us. We still have several weeks available for teams to come and serve. If your church, organization, or group would like to set up a week of ministry, please contact me.
